PartnerSHIP for a Healthy Community

PartnerSHIP for a Healthy Community was formed in 2005 as a nonprofit, community-based health improvement partner. Today, they work with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and other key resource partners to improve the health status of the Erie community and eliminate barriers to good health.

As a recently formed health improvement partner, PartnerSHIP for a Healthy Community needed a better way to "get the word out" in the Erie community. Previously, the organization relied on press releases distributed via post bulk mail to increase brand awareness. It was apparent that the organization was in need of a website to effectively communicate its message to the Erie community.

newline Creations filled this gap by creating a highly functional website with streamlined navigation and public and private calendar functionality -- effectively making it easier for PartnerSHIP to display its news-worthy items to the public. For example, the public calendar is available to anyone who visits the website, but the private calendar is only available to the members with an assigned username and password. The private "members-only" calendar is utilized to schedule meetings by PartnerSHIP administrators. Whereas, the Articles/Announcements/Blog module is leveraged by PartnerSHIP to display public news, private member news, and to display/archive meeting minutes within the member profiles area.

Owen Roth, project manager at newline Creations, sums it up with, "Essentially, they needed a website to get the word out. Since they didn't' have a website, we started from scratch. We professionally copy edited all the informational pages while providing them with a better avenue [website] to building their brand name."
